She is popularly known for her role as Santosh Rathi / Bhabho in Diya Aur Bati Hum and Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji of Star Plus. Neelu has appeared in more than 50 rajasthani films and she made her acting debut at age of 11 with a Rajasthani movie Supattar Binani in 1981.
She is also featured as Satya Devi in Main Maike Chali Jaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo.
